The National unity day remarks the birth of  the great freedom fighter" SARDAR VALLABHAI  PATEL " (1875-1950)

AND THE DEATH OF INDIA,S FIRST WOMEN PRIME MINISTER INDRA GANDHI (daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru the first prime minister of India)    (1917-1984) She was assassinated  by her own body guard while giving a speech in a press conference ........

In order to celebrate his birthday CBSE schools of India have decided to have this day 31 October

 

as राष्ट्रीय  एकता  दिवस  or national unity day .....
